A Long Drive

It sure is a long drive to Florida!  There is something magical about reaching the Florida state line and stopping at the rest area for a cup of orange juice and picture taking.  It was cold through Tennessee; even snowed through the mountains.  But we stop every year at the Caryville Hampton Inn just at the base of the Jellico Mountains.  The snow was sticking to the ground and the people who live there thought it was beautiful.  Actually, it was, but when you are seeking warm weather it is a little hard to take.  Things started warming up in Georgia and when we got into Florida and further south it was 76.  As we got closer to the beach it started to cool off a bit as it always does with the breeze of the ocean.
Don has gone for his first walk; it is in the lower 60's.  I will walk later today when it is a little warmer.  Yes, I am a wimp when it comes to weather.  I see the clouds clearing away as I write and the outside beckons.  Hope you'all have a great Sunday!!

Ugh, that drive is eternal!
Glad you made it safe and sound. It was about 34 here today, a real heatwave!
Enjoy The Sunshine state!
